Gallium has a variety of scientific and hobby uses. We can only ship it domestically ground lower 48 US States, no international or air shipping is available for this item. Pure gallium is a spill hazard and can contaminate a variety of surfaces, making cleanup very difficult. It has a tendency to smear and 'wet' unusual surfaces such as glass and ceramics. It can be used in its pure or alloyed form as a heat transfer interface material between high performance chips and heat sinks, although extreme caution must be taken as gallium actively helps corrode aluminum and the combination of the two should be avoided.

While it is considered not toxic like mercury, it must still be handled with extreme caution avoiding all contact with skin, etc. It has a high tendency to spill and splatter, therefore plastic waterproof containers with no holes, eye protection, and nitrile gloves are paramount when handling this material.
