Indium

Element 49, indium, is a soft, malleable metal with an unusually low melting temperature under 200ºC. It has the highest level thermal conductivity after aluminum, and has the special property of being able to wet glass and ceramics, allowing excellent adhesion between metals and nonmetals. For this reason it is used extensively as gaskets in vacuum seals.
